How can integrated STEM projects be designed and implemented in schools?
Integrated STEM projects ask students to solve real, context-based problems by combining knowledge and practices from science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Although curricula increasingly promote this approach, implementation in schools remains uneven, and teachers often lack evidence-based designs and support. This line develops STEM projects with schools and teachers, implements them in real classrooms and evaluates their effect on students’ scientific competence and attitudes towards STEM, so successful designs can be transferred to other schools and to teacher education.
