O V E R V I E W
Pre-service teacher training is key to the deconstruction of previous approaches to traditional teaching that these teachers may retain from their time as students and associate with the teacher they aspire to be, and the subsequent reconditioning of these beliefs towards constructivist approaches and methodologies, such as inquiry, context-based learning, or STEM projects. Therefore, having the opportunity to developed innovative educational strategies and research within this stage is essential for improving the quality of teachers’ training programs.
